IBM CPLEX

CPLEX is trivially installed locally in your own /home directory. What you need is:

1. Download academic version of CPLEX

Go to http://ibm.biz/CPLEXonAI. Click on Software, then you'll find, in the ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio card, a link to register. Once your registration is accepted, you will see a link to download the education CPLEX version.

You should get the file called "cplex_studio2210.linux_x86_64.bin".

2. Install

chmod +x cplex_studio2210.linux_x86_64.bin
./cplex_studio2210.linux_x86_64.bin

In your case, it is installed in somewhere like /home/$USER/CPLEX

You should have seen the following at the end of the installation:

 Installation Complete

IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio 22.1.0 has been successfully installed to:

   /home/$USER/CPLEX

3. Test installation:

You can now test the installation with the tests provided with the software:

cd /home/$USER/CPLEX/cplex/examples/x86-64_linux/static_pic
make all_cpp
make execute_cpp
